The meta title is the most influential HTML tag for your Google ranking. In 50 to 60 characters, it must contain your keyword, differentiate your page from competitors, and trigger the click. On a 3,000-product catalog, optimizing every title without a template is simply not feasible.
The 2026 meta title rules
- Length: 50 to 60 characters (~600 pixels). Beyond: truncation.
- Main keyword: ideally in the first 30 characters.
- Uniqueness: every page must have a unique title on the site.
- H1 alignment: title and H1 should target the same query, without being identical.
- No keyword stuffing: "Sneakers Running Sneakers Sport" — Google filters it.
