ERP to Shopify import: Sage, Cegid, Dynamics 365, SAP without heavy integrators

Your ERP is the source of truth for products, prices and stock. Shopify is your storefront. Between the two, there is often a missing layer: marketing descriptions, optimized images, SEO. That is exactly where Seegea steps in.

Data coming out of an ERP (Sage, Cegid, Dynamics, SAP) is accurate but rarely ready for e-commerce. The reference is correct, the price is right, the stock is current — but the description is 10 words, there is no optimized image, and the SEO meta is empty. Seegea is the layer between the ERP and Shopify that turns this raw data into a sellable catalog.

ERP → Seegea → Shopify architecture

Layer 1 — ERP synchronization

The ERP pushes a scheduled CSV or XML export (daily or real-time via webhooks) with structured data: references, prices, stock, technical attributes. Seegea reads this feed and detects new products and modifications.

Layer 2 — Seegea enrichment

For each new product or detected change, Seegea proposes enrichment: AI description generated from ERP attributes, optimized WebP images, SEO meta. The marketing team validates or adjusts in the tabular grid.

Layer 3 — Shopify or PrestaShop publication

Once validated, Seegea pushes the enriched product to Shopify or PrestaShop in real time. ERP stock and price updates are synced separately, without touching the enriched marketing fields.

The golden rule for an ERP-to-Shopify flow: separate structured data (prices, stock, references — managed by the ERP) from marketing data (descriptions, images, SEO — managed by Seegea and your team). Never let the ERP overwrite enriched marketing fields.

Concrete cases by ERP

Sage X3 → Shopify

Sage X3 exposes a REST API and allows CSV exports via scheduled queries. Recommended flow: daily export of modified items (last_modified_date), Sage-to-Shopify column mapping in Seegea, enrichment of new listings, Shopify push. Stock and prices flow in real time directly via the Shopify Admin API.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central → Shopify

The native Shopify Connector (AppSource) is the simplest solution. It synchronizes items, prices and stock in real time. Seegea is used in parallel for enrichment: the marketing team works in Seegea, structured data flows automatically from Business Central.

Built in France between Annecy and Chantilly, Seegea is designed to integrate into existing ERP workflows — not replacing your current ERP integration, but complementing it on the catalog enrichment side.

FAQ

Sage X3 offers a REST API and schedulable CSV exports. The most common approaches: scheduled CSV export (daily or hourly) mapped to Shopify via a script or iPaaS (Make, Boomi, Talend), or a native Sage-Shopify connector from the marketplace. Seegea inserts between the two as an enrichment layer.

Give your catalog the attention it deserves.
